Terms and conditions

By making a booking, you accept the booking conditions below. It is your responsibility to ensure you have read and understood the terms.

  • The payment is made via Klarna.
  • If payment is not made, the booking will be cancelled automatically.
  • Once the payment is completed and approved, the reservation is guaranteed. You will then receive a confirmation of the reservation by e-mail and a confirmation page shown in your browser.
  • Cape East is a cash free hotel
  • The minimum age for accommodation reservations is 18 years of age. For guests under the age of 18, a parent or other adult must accompany this guest, the parent or adult is also responsible for this guest. Check-in from 3:00 p.m. and Check-out from 11:00 a.m.
  • Please note that our booking options have different terms. Non-cancellable packages/products, are non-refundable.
  • If you have booked a REFUNDABLE or FLEX package, you can cancel or rebook your booking no later than 6:00 p.m. the day before arrival and receive a full refund if canceled. Cancellations that take place after 6:00 p.m. the day before arrival is non-refundable. When rebooking to a new date, any price difference is paid by the guest.
  • If you have booked a NON-REFUNDABLE or SAVE package, you will not be refunded in case of cancellation and you can not rebook the package to another date.

 

Changes & Cancellation

Guaranteed until 6:00 p.m.
The hotel is obliged to offer rooms to the guest until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If the guest has not canceled or checked-in before this time, the hotel can cancel the room without contacting the guest.

Warranty
The reservation is guaranteed via a business agreement, travel agency or by credit card. Cancellation of guaranteed reservation with flex package must be made no later than 6:00 p.m. the day before arrival. If the guest does not arrive, or if the guest cancels on the day of arrival, you must pay for a hotel night.

Changes
If you have booked accommodation for two or more nights with the FLEX package, but choose to end your stay earlier, you will be charged for the next night. Cancellation of remaining nights must be made no later than 6:00 p.m. the day before scheduled departure.

If you have booked accommodation for two or more nights with the SAVE package, but choose to end your stay earlier, you will be charged for the entire stay.

SAVE packages can only be canceled upon presentation of medical certificate. Administration fee of SEK 250 will be added.

Business Agreement
For reservations made by business customers with an agreement, the order / cancellation rules stated in the contract apply.

Age limit
For guests who do not travel with parents, we have an 18-year age limit. The hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund if valid ID cannot be presented.

 

Prices & Payment

All prices are stated in Swedish kronor incl. VAT unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to apply price changes due to circumstances that we do not control, e.g. changed VAT, major changes of the currency value or low availability of rooms as a result of high demand.

Damage responsibility
Any damage caused to Cape East property during your stay is subject to additional fees set by the management of Cape East, calculated based on the cost of repairs as well as loss of revenue and availability for other guests.

Allergies
Guests at Cape East are responsible of informing our staff about possible allergies. If no such information has been given, Cape East can not be held accountable for any allergic reactions its guest might experience.

SPA
All guests visit our SPA at their own risk. Cape East SPA has many hard surfaces and stairs. When you book a spa visit, you get access to our day spa with all its experiences and amenities. Please also note that our spa treatments are carried out by a partner with experienced and certified staff. Note that spa times may apply to limit the number of visitors who visit the spa at the same time, more information can be found on our website under “Spa and Wellness”.

Our spa allows children between 7-14 years during certain times. Unfortunately, our spa is not available for children under 7 years. Feel free to double check what applies during your stay. All children under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult.

Terms and Conditions – Gift Cards

Terms for Purchasing Gift Cards
Cape East gift cards are sent digitally. You will receive an email with a PDF file after completing your purchase. No additional fees or charges apply.

Value Document
The gift card is considered a value document and is used as payment in the online booking system at Cape East. Lost gift cards cannot be replaced, and they cannot be redeemed for cash.

Currency
All prices are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK).

Right of Withdrawal
When purchasing gift cards online, you have the right to withdraw your purchase within 14 days of receiving the gift card. Please contact us for information about returns and refunds.

Validity Period
The validity period is clearly stated on each gift card before purchase. All regular gift cards (excluding campaign offers such as “Black Friday”) are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase.

Special promotions or campaign-specific gift cards may have a shorter validity period. This will be clearly stated before purchase. The validity period and any specific conditions for the gift card will be outlined in the Terms & Conditions during the online booking process.

Special Conditions
Occasionally, we run special promotions for gift cards, such as during Black Friday campaigns. These gift cards may be tied to discounted accommodation packages or other products. Such promotions often come with specific conditions, such as restricted arrival periods or specific dates when the gift card can be used.

The gift card is considered a value document and serves as a voucher for booking and paying for the specific package or product it covers. Please note that the gift card cannot be used for any other purposes.

To ensure you fully understand the terms for our various gift cards, please review the specific terms provided in the online booking system before completing your purchase.

Redeem Your Gift Card

Using Your Gift Card for Payment
When booking on our website, you can use your gift card as payment for your stay. In the final stage of the booking process (“Step 3 of 3”), you will find the option “Pay with your gift card.”

Select this option and enter your gift card number. The gift card will be charged at this point. If the total cost of your stay exceeds the balance on your gift card, you will need to pay the remaining amount.

Redeeming a Gift Card for a Specific Package
If your gift card is linked to a specific accommodation package, you need to unlock the package before booking.

  1. Visit www.capeeast.se and click on “Redeem Gift Card.”
  2. Alternatively, you can go directly to the following link: Redeem Your Gift Card.
  3. Enter your gift card number in the format AA11111-A111 to unlock the package.


Once the package is unlocked, you can proceed with your booking.
